I read that addiction was progressive, always getting worse. I then decided to work through the 12 step programme, and recovered.

I had problems growing up and found release in drugs and parties. I heard addicts share how they recovered via and decided to recover too.

Awkward and shy, I came to life on psychedelic drugs. I was always 'giving up' but never managed to stop, until I applied the 12 steps.

I started taking heroin from a very young age. In DAA I found others who understood and helped me work through the 12 step recovery program.

Crack cocaine, heroin and alcohol were all I could think about. I was addicted, depressed and I couldn't stop but I've found freedom in DAA.

Since I was a child I have felt crippled with feelings of worthlessness, anxiety, depression.

Drugs helped suppress my self-pity. Hash, then Ecstasy, and then came heroin! After 15 years of trying rehab I finally recovered in DAA.

I was addicted to crack and heroin for 20 years, turning to crime to fund my habit. 12 step recovery through DAA has changed my life.
